Live & work here

You can really start living with a move to the Eastern Bay of Plenty

Every year the Eastern Bay of Plenty welcomes new residents from around New Zealand and around the world. People are attracted by the high quality of life, the warm sub-tropical climate and the recreational opportunities such as hunting, fishing and golf. The region is well serviced by healthcare and education providers, homes for the elderly, children’s play areas and sports grounds.

While traditionally the local economy has centered on agriculture and horticulture there are now many emerging industries which offer investment, business and employment opportunities for new arrivals. The area is wired for high speed internet allowing for locals to work globally. The Eastern Bay is serviced by a regional airport and a bus service which connects the main urban centers. Traffic is never an issue with a traffic jam considered to be two cars and a horse.
