Record numbers attend the Beacon Business and Leisure Show

Approximately 7,000 people attended the 2009 Beacon Business and Leisure Show held over three days in early September. Fine weather brought out the crowds many of whom were from outside the region. The organising committee were delighted that in spite of the recession businesses could see the value of raising their profile, generating leads and making sales. Stand holders were very satisfied with the interest and income generated at the show.

Sponsorship of over $22,000 plus a travel prize makes it possible to have a paid manager organising the show as well as keeping the cost affordable for exhibitors and free entry to the public. Chairperson of the organising committee Mary Hermanson said the committee will be meeting shortly to review and plan the 2010 event.
