Justin is a sustainability consultant with a wide range of experience in several countries around the world. This includes academic research, commercial consulting and government advisory services.

With a background in forestry and bioenergy, Justin has been heavily involved in international collaborations such as the International Energy Agency (Bioenergy), UN Framework Convention on Climate Change, and the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change. 
 
Justin has worked on enhancing sustainability with numerous organisations/companies in NZ and overseas, primarily focussed on land use and energy systems. This ranges from workshops with staff about responsible practices, to installing renewable energy systems, developing market strategies, and designing policies and action plans for large multinational companies to implement more socially and environmentally responsible practices. 
 
Justin has run his own consulting business since 2003, which he currently operates from his off-grid property in the bush near Opotiki.
