An Exciting and Successful Launch For Te Puawaitanga O Te Rangatahi

Earlier this month, the Eastern Bay of Plenty witnessed a significant milestone in recognizing and celebrating the achievements of its young talent. The launch of the Te Puawaitanga o tē Rangatahi boards marked an inspiring moment in acknowledging the exceptional efforts of Rangatahi (youth) who go above and beyond in their schools and communities. This initiative, led by Nancy Anderson, Manager of Driver Operator Training at Toi EDA, is a testament to the dedication and commitment to fostering the region's future leaders.

The Te Puawaitanga o Te Rangatahi boards have been meticulously set up and installed in three New World locations across the Eastern Bay of Plenty, namely Ōpōtiki, Whakatāne, and Kawerau. This collaborative endeavor involved close coordination with the local communities and New World stores to ensure the successful launch of these boards. The effort put into this project reflects the region's commitment to nurturing and recognising the talents of its young members.

These boards not only celebrate the accomplishments of Rangatahi but also pay tribute to the late Louis Rāpihana, who made significant contributions to the advancement of the Eastern Bay of Plenty. His legacy lives on through this initiative, which seeks to inspire and empower young individuals to reach their full potential.

To ensure a fair representation of youth from various communities, the Te Puawai o Te Rangatahi boards will be rotated every couple of months. This rotation ensures that a diverse group of young achievers gets the spotlight and recognition they deserve. It also underscores the commitment to inclusivity and showcasing the multifaceted talents within the Eastern Bay of Plenty.

As the boards are unveiled, we extend our heartfelt congratulations to all the Rangatahi who have been featured. Your dedication and contributions to your schools and communities are a source of inspiration for us all. Your stories serve as a reminder that the Eastern Bay of Plenty is home to a bright and promising future.
